FFID CONTROLLER
FFID sequence may be affected and wrong due to recorder system crash, recorder system fault, observer or seismologist fault. Not only relation file (geometry file) but also FFID sequence should be checked daily or end of line/swath.
FFID Controller main purpose is checking FFID sequence of the data delivered daily or in the swath cargo and understand whether there is a missing data or not.
The program is fully compatible with x file format of Sercel 408, 428 or 508 (supported data format extensions are as .txt, .x or .xps)
The graphics will be automatically shown when x file is selected. In a regular x file, the left graphic (first one) should be linear and the difference (right graphic – second one) should always be 1 (one).
As shown in the example above, if the difference is more than 1, it means that there is a missing FFID in the x file.
FFID controller also shows the first and last FFID number and total shots in the x file. So, the client or representative check these numbers with the daily report or final cargo.
