VAPS CONTROLLER
The main purpose of the VAPS program is to check whether the values of the shots are within the accepted limits and to confirm that the percentage rate of off-limit shots is lower than the acceptable error rate.
Another advantage of the program, apart from determining the error rates and determining the shots outside the limits, is that it can be understood visually and from the printed error page which vibroseis the errors are caused by.

The program offers 2 options.
-
Default Parameters
-
Selected Parameters
Defult parameters are;
Drive Level = %80
Average Phase = -2 , 2
Peak Phase = -15 , 15
Average Distortion = 35
Peak Distortion = 60
RAW data example;

After the data is selected and loaded, the "Load Data" button turns GREEN and changes to "Loaded Data".
After the data is loaded, one of the "Raw- "or "Filter " tabs must be selected in the "Graphic" panel. The main difference between RAW and FILTER is that RAW plotting chooses the limits of the Y-axis according to the smallest and largest value of the available data, while FILTER plotting takes the accepted parameter limits as the limits of the Y-axis.
FILTER data example;

By loading the data, Drive Level, Average Phase, Peak Phase, Average Distortion, Peak Distortion, Peak Force, Average Force, Viscocity, Shiftness, and Performance buttons become active.
Apart from these buttons, the Bug Determination, Error Dialog, and Error Document Creation panels become active.
Selected button into BLUE color and the minimum and maximum values in the "Values " panel change depending on the selected data.
PROCESSING DATA
Although the graphics of the Vaps file can be done with many different programs, it cannot be said that the graphics created are exactly true. In order for the graphics drawn to represent the data collected in the field, invalid shots must be removed from the existing data.
To summarize the need for data process; The values of the shots canceled or abandoned-aborted for any reason are found in the VAPS file. Therefore, every graphic or every calculated error rate without removing the invalid shots does not reflect the correctness.
In order to be able to throw invalid shots from raw data, the first thing to do is to decide on the "VS" value. VS value can be calculated as Vibro Count X Sweep number.
For Example;
16 VS button should be marked for 4 Vibro 4 Sweeps, 12 VS button should be marked for 4 Vibro 3 Sweeps (The program currently works with 12VS and 16VS). After the VS number is marked, the only thing to do is to click on the "Process Data" button. When the "Processed Data" text appears and the button turns GREEN, it means the extraction process is completed. After the extraction process, the data to be controlled is selected from the Control Panel. The resulting graphics and values are based on the extracted data. The graphics and values created by extracting the data now represent the data in the field.

ERROR RATE
By clicking the “Error Rate” button, the error rates of Average Phase, Peak Phase, Average Distortion and Peak Distortion values can be examined.

COLOR BASED ON VIBRO NUMBER

After processing Vibro APS data, the "VibroBase" button in the Graphic panel becomes active. Unlike other graphic types, the graphics created in this tab are colored based on Vibro number.
As seen in the example, data was colored with "Vibro Base Coloring" according to the vibro number. Before coloring, it is not known which vibros have got 3 shots outside the limit, Before coloring, it is not known which vibros have got 3 shots outside the limit, but 3 shots can be understood by coloring.
When the colored Distortion values are examined, it can be easily understood that 2 of the 3 values outside the limits belong to the Vibro 3 and 1 of them belongs to the Vibro 1.
